How much does it cost to upgrade your turbo on a B58

There are several costs to consider when installing a turbo on a BMW B58 engine. These can include the cost of the turbo itself, as well as any necessary modifications or additional parts. Here is a list of some potential costs to consider:

  1. Turbo: The cost of the turbo will depend on the brand, size, and capabilities of the unit. Turbos can range in price from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. The Pure turbo Cast is around £3250 the FLOW MAX is slightly cheaper starting at £2600

  2. Installation labor: Installing a turbo on a B58 engine will typically require professional labor, which we can do for you in house.

  3. Parts and supplies: In addition to the turbo itself, there may be other parts and supplies needed for the installation. These can include gaskets, mounting hardware, hoses, and clamps. We do offer these in a bundle at £220. We do highly recommend you change your oil and filters as well, which is £26.81 and nearly £100 on oil. Fueling is something that is a must to make the most of the turbo, either - Dorch Engineering B58 Stage 2 HPFP at £1,734.99 or TU Fuel pump at £299 - but the TU will not perform to the same level as the Dorch. You can also add things like Meth, Charge pipes to help with the new boost, new intercooler to lower temps, new charge cooler and loads more!

  4. Tuning: After the turbo is installed, it will be necessary to have the engine re-tuned in order to properly calibrate it for the new turbo. This can add an additional cost, which will depend on the cost of the tuning service and any necessary parts.

It is worth noting that these costs can vary widely and are dependent on the specific requirements of the installation. However you are looking at £4500 at least. While this is a very brief look into the costs we can fully quote you on the parts if you know which items you would like.
