B58 Turbo OP1000 turbo kit
1000hp is a number that gets thrown around too easily lately, Osprey, one of our partners, has developed a gen1 B58 turbo kit that will actually do that number now, it's time for us to share our side project with you, the OP1000 turbo kit.
We set out to build a kit using tried and tested products from established and trusted companies like Turbosmart, Funk motorsport, Pulsar Turbo systems and Immoco TIC. An important goal for this kit was that it had to be a complete package, supplied complete, that a customer could drive in and drive out without any additional work needing to be carried out. We also wanted the kit to be robust and able to take a beating and not compromise and of the OEM components.
The kit comprises of the following components -

Osprey stainless steel manifold with Immico TIC insulation
Osprey downpipe

This kit is capable of 600hp - 1000hp with the right supporting mods. We have a basic pump fuel tune that is included with the kit. We expect to release actual real world numbers in the coming weeks as our test car is currently being fitted with the kit. We have teamed up with Harvey Bohgal and his current world record holding M140.
Harvey is currently the pilot and owner of the world's fastest RWD B58 BMW. He has chosen to attempt to beat his current time of 9.8sec at Santa Pod using the OP1000 kit this season. Over the course of the coming days, we will know exactly what this kit is capable of in its basic setup with pump fuel, and all the way turned up on race fuel, we are expecting to reach the limits of the engine and gearbox before we reach the limits of the kit.
